YAACOV AGAM |
Yaacov Agam (1928 - ) Yaacov Agam was born in Israel, the son of an
Orthodox Rabbi. He studied at the Bezallel School of Art in Jerusalem where his
Orthodox upbringing made his focus on the visual and plastic arts. He was a
founder of the optic art movement with Vasarely and in 1980 was given a major
one man retrospective exhibit at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. He is widely
collected by museums and galleries throughout the world.
